Nineteen years ago today, 19 knife-weilding terrorists hijacked four commercial planes and crashed two planes into the World Trade Center's twin towers and crashed one into the Pentagon. The fourth plane crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pa., a flight that was suspected to used in attack on another target in Washington, D.C.
The attack killed nearly 3,000 individuals, including more than 400 police, firefighters and EMS workers.
It was an attack that forever changed America.
