ECCC’s Kareem Thompson Named to NJCAA All-Region 23 Basketball Team

East Central Community College freshman guard Kareem Thompson has been named to the National Junior College Athletic Association All-Region 23 Men’s Basketball Team for his play during the 2019-20 season.

He previously was named First-Team All-Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges.







La-Z-Boy shuts down temporarily due to COVID-19

La-Z-Boy Incorporated announced in a press release Sunday afternoon that it will have a temporary shutdown of all U.S. manufacturing facilities and regional distribution centers effective immediately.

This includes the manufacturing and shipping operations in Newton. The company said they will re-evaluate the situation April 13.
