Another suspect pleads guilty as accessory in exchange for testimony

A change of venue for the retrial of a man accused of conspiring to commit the 2017 St. Patrick’s Day murder of Newton’s Jamarcus Townsend resulted in a guilty verdict on Friday in Eighth District Circuit Court held in Philadelphia.

Services for Dr. Richard Calvin Ethridge were held 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 24, 2018, at Clarke-Venable Baptist Church with burial in the Decatur City Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Vincent was in charge of the service with Dr. Billy Williams in charge of the music.

Visitation was held 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at Clarke-Venable Baptist Church.
