Farmer, Smith plan nuptuals later this month


Jim and Denise Farmer are pleased to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Hannah Ruby Farmer of Decatur, to Andrew Scott Smith of Decatur.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Bailey and Edith Farmer of Meridian and the late Aaron Calhoun and Ruby Davis of Decatur.

The prospective groom is the son of Scott and Sonya Smith. He is the grandson of Robert S. and Betty Smith of Decatur and Jim and Mazie Wall of Brandon, as well as the late Conrad and Dorothy Harris of Decatur.

Hannah is a 2011 graduate of Newton County High School and 2013 graduate of East Central Community College. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing degree, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree, both from Mississippi State University. Hannah is currently employed as a District Underwriter with Mississippi Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company in Jackson, MS.

Andrew is a 2010 graduate of Newton County High School. He is also a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. Andrew is a 2019 graduate of Baptist Memorial College of Health Sciences with a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology. He is currently employed by Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Memphis, TN. Andrew is also a member of the United States Armed Forces where he serves as a Staff Sergeant in the Mississippi Air National Guard.

Wedding vows will be exchanged on Saturday, November 23rd at six in the evening. The ceremony will be held at Bridges, The Venue in Philadelphia, MS. Family and friends are invited to attend the ceremony and reception to follow.
