Sebastopol and French Camp battled a key Division 5-1A matchup last week.
French Camp took the first game, winning 7-6 in an 11-inning battle on Monday. But the Bobcats battled back on Friday and took a 9-7 win to hand the Panthers their first loss of the season.
Sebastopol will host a spring break tournament this week. The Bobcats will take on Nanih Waiya on Monday at 5:30 p.m. and will take on Choctaw Central on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. They will finish the week on Wednesday at 3 p.m. against Kemper Academy.
French Camp 7, Sebastopol 6
The Panthers scored two runs in the bottom of the 11th and got a walk-off win on a bases-loaded walk to take a division win over the Bobcats.
Each team scored one in the first and Sebastopol scored three in the third while the Panthers answered with three in the fourth.
Sebastopol outhit French Camp 8-7 in the contest. Jake Kimble was 3-for-6 with a double and two runs scored while Kari Michaels was 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs. Harrison Peebles also doubled for the Bobcats.
Jess Johnson started on the mound and pitched four innings, giving up four runs on two hits and eight walks while striking out three. Camron Lee pitched six innings in relief and gave up one run on three walks while striking out four. Peebles pitched the last 2/3 innings and gave up two runs on one hit and three walks.
Sebastopol 9, French Camp 7
The Bobcats held on to take a two-run win over the Panthers on Friday.
Sebastopol had eight hits as Luke McGarrity was 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Jess Johnson had a solo home run while Kari Michaels singled and drove in two runs. Drake Wiscus singled and scored twice while Colby Dooley also scored twice.
Dooley pitched four innings and gave up three runs on one hit and four walks while striking out nine while Camron Lee pitched two innings and gave up four runs on three hits while striking out two. Michaels pitched the last inning and didn’t give up a hit or run to pick up the save.
