The Lake baseball team started the season with three wins last week, giving up just five runs on the week.
Lake opened with a 9-0, no-hit win over Choctaw Central on Tuesday and then beat the Warriors 5-0 on Friday. Lake finished the week on Saturday with a 15-5 win over Raleigh.
Lake will travel to Pelahatchie on Tuesday and to Sebastopol on Friday. They will finish the week out on Saturday as they host Pelahatchie in a 1 p.m. contest.
Lake 9, Choctaw Central 0
Brady McGee was 3-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored while Kenny Ray Hanna was 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored. Kel Harrison and Easton Tune were each 2-for-4 while Jacob Lanier doubled and drove in a run. Noah Thornton also walked three times and had four stolen bases. Tune also had three stolen bases as Lake had 12 stolen bases.
McGee started on the mound and pitched five innings, striking out 11 and walking one. Lanier pitched the final two innings.
Lake 5, Choctaw Central 0
Lake outhit Choctaw 8-2 in the contest. Kel Harrison was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs while Kenny Ray Hanna was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Jacob Lanier was also 2-for-2 with two runs scored.
Riley Bell started and pitched five innings and gave up just one hit and two walks while striking out four. Ben Moore pitched the final two innings and gave up one hit while striking out three.
Lake 15, Raleigh 5
Aiden Alford led Lake at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double and three runs scored. Noah Thornton was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs. Kenny Ray Hanna was 2-for-3 with three RBIs while Easton Tune was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and three RBIs. Brady McGee was 2-for-4 with a double and three runs scored while Kel Harrison scored twice.
Hanna got the start and pitched 2 1/3 innings and gave up five runs on six hits. McGee came in relief and pitched 3 2/3 innings and struck out eight to pick up the win.
