The Lady Hornets grabbed a win in their only game last week, beating Pisgah by nine points.
“We have gotten a lot better since the first of the year,” coach Kotreece Bender said. “We have a really young point guard and people were putting a lot of pressure on us to start the season and pressing us a lot. So we spent about three weeks working on breaking the press against the boys and have gotten a lot better. Now that we have gotten that down, we have settled down a lot and are a lot better. I think we are ready to start district play now.”
Beautiful Carr led Lake with 12 points in the game.
