Earlier this season, the Lake Lady Hornets beat Sebastopol 57-11 on Nov. 13.
But the second time was different.
The Lady Bobcats bounced back from that early loss and took a 47-43 win over the Lady Hornets.
Sebastopol coach Cade Gibson said his team has come a long way in a short amount of time.
“If you’ll look at our schedule, they beat us 57-11 earlier in the year,” Sebastopol coach Cade Gibson said. “So being able to compete with them, let alone beat them, is a testament to how much work our kiddos have put in. We took Pisgah to the fourth quarter, and the score doesn’t tell the real story. It was a six-point game with around four minutes left in the fourth. We play both teams again this week, so we have our hands full again. These match ups will only make us better. We look forward to them.”
Lake will return to play this week as they host Pisgah on Tuesday and play at Lake on Thursday.
