It was a busy week on the hardwoods for the Lake basketball teams.
The Lake boys (7-11-0-3) lost three games last week while the Lady Hornets (6-10, 1-1) split a pair of games.
Lake was scheduled to play at Newton on Tuesday and at Scott Central on Friday.
Lake girls 50, Scott Central 42
Kaliauna Jones led Lake with 29 points while Antwonette Pinkston had eight points and Beautiful Carr had six points.
Scott Central boys 50, Lake 46
Scott Central then outscored Lake 19-11 in the fourth to take the win
Kaelyb Williams led Lake with 15 points while Te’Kenyon Fountain had 12 points. Kyran Fortune had eight points while Demetrick Gardner had seven points.
Bay Springs girls 42, Lake 35
Kaliauna Jones led Lake with 16 points while Lyric Lay had seven points. Antwonette Pinkston also had six points.
Bay Springs boys 70, Lake 46
Kentavious Gray led Lake with 16 points while Te’Kenyon Fountain had 10 points. Kaelyb Williams had eight points while Byron Fortune and Jayden Brown each had five points apiece.
McLaurin boys 56, Lake 44
Te’Kenyon Fountain led Lake with 11 points while Kaelyb Williams had 10 points. Demetrick Gardner had nine points while Ny’Zavion McClendon had eight points. Kentavious Gray also chipped in six points.
