The Lake Hornets dropped three contest last week, all in region 5-2A play.
The Lake boys 81-55 to Newton in a makeup game on Monday and then lost 70-49 to Bay Springs on Tuesday. They finished the week out with a 64-46 loss to Clarkdale.
Lake hosted Newton for senior night Tuesday. The Region 5-2A tournament will be at Scott Central next week.
Clarkdale boys 64, Lake 46
The Bulldogs used a big third period and took an 18-point win over the Hornets.
Ny’Zavion McClendon led Lake with 16 points while Te’Kenyon Fountain had nine points. Kyran Fortune also had six points for the Hornets.
Bay Springs boys 70, Lake 49
The Bulldogs pulled away in the second half and took a 21-point win over Hornets last week.
Te’Kenyon Fountain led Lake with 20 points while Demetrick Gardner had 11 points. Ny’Zavion McClendon also had 10 points.
