The Sebastopol Lady Bobcats dropped both games to Philadelphia in the regular season.
But the Lady Bobcats won the one that mattered.
Sebastopol outscored Philadelphia in the last three periods and pulled away to take a 49-39 win over the Lady Tornadoes to claim the Division 4-2A championship.
The Sebastopol girls were scheduled to host Hatley on Monday in first-round action. The Sebastopol boys will play at East Union on Tuesday in first-round action.
Sebastopol girls 49, Philadelphia 39
The Lady Bobcats finished strong in each half and pulled away to take a 10-point win over the Lady Tornadoes to claim the 4-2A championship.
Each team scored 11 points in the first period while the Lady Bobcats outscored the Lady Tornadoes 13-8 in the second period to lead 24-19 at the half. Sebastopol continued to extend its lead in the second half as they outscored Philadelphia 8-7 in the third and 17-13 in the fourth.
Lakin Musgrove led Sebastopol with 17 points while Marlee Smith had 12 points. Cyrish Magculang had six points while Kagen Wiscus had five points.
Sebastopol girls 50, Union 26
The Lady Bobcats pulled away in the second half and cruised to a 24-point win over the Lady Yellowjackets in semifinal action on Thursday.
Sebastopol outscored Union 10-9 in the first and 10-8 in the second to lead 20-17 at the half. The Lady Bobcats then outscored Union 11-4 in the third and 19-5 in the fourth to take the win.
Madeline Ogletree led Sebastopol with 14 points while Jaiden Williams had 12 points. Laila Rogers also had 11 points for the Lady Bobcats.
Sebastopol boys 38, Union 28
The Bobcats built an early lead and ended Union’s season with a 10-point loss on Tuesday.
Sebastopol outscored Union 13-7 in the first and 10-7 in the second and led 23-14 at the half. Union took the third period 7-4 while Sebastopol outscored the Yellowjackets 11-7 in the fourth to take the win.
Luke McGarrity led Sebastopol with 18 points while Brayden Kiddy and Adarius McDougle each had six points.
Philadelphia boys 67, Sebastopol 38
The Tornadoes blew past the Bobcats in semifinal action on Thursday.
Philly led 14-7 at the end of the first while Sebastopol outscored the Tornadoes 15-11 in the second to cut the deficit to 25-22. But the Tornadoes got rolling in the second half, outscoring the Bobcats 23-6 win the third and 19-10 in the fourth to take the win.
Michael Stewart led Sebastopol with 12 points while Luke McGarrity had 10 points. Adarius McDougle also had eight points for the Bobcats.
J.Z. George boys 44, Sebastopol 40
The Jaguars finished strong and took a four-point win over the Bobcats in the 4-2A consolation game on Friday.
J.Z. George led 14-9 at the end of the first period while Sebastopol took the second period 11-8 to cut the lead to 22-17. The Bobcats continued the strong play and outscored the Jaguars 15-7 ins the third to take a 32-29 lead into the fourth period. But J.Z. George got rolling in the fourth and outscored Sebastopol 15-8 in the fourth to take the win.
Adarius McDougle led Sebastopol with 10 points while Bryan Bell had nine points. Micheal Stewart had eight points as well for the Bobcats.
