The Union Lady Yellowjackets advanced to the Class 2A state tournament last week.
After losing 50-28 to Sebastopol in the tournament semifinals, Union beat J.Z. George 38-25 in the consolation game on Friday.
The Union girls advance as the No. 3 seed out of Division 4-2A and were scheduled to play at Walnut on Monday.
Union girls 38, J.Z. George 25
The Lady Yellowjackets outscored the Lady Jaguars in every period and pulled away for a 13-point win on Friday in the consolation game.
Union led 8-7 at the end of the first period and then outscored J.Z. George 9-2 in the second to lead 17-9 at the half. Union continued to extend its lead in the second half, outscoring J.Z. George 8-7 in the third and 13-9 in the fourth.
Rymia Craft led Union with 12 points while Destiny Campbell had 11 points and Gracyn Tillman had 10 points.
Sebastopol girls 50, Union 26
The Lady Bobcats pulled away in the second half and cruised to a 24-point win over the Lady Yellowjackets in semifinal action on Thursday.
Sebastopol outscored Union 10-9 in the first and 10-8 in the second to lead 20-17 at the half. The Lady Bobcats then outscored Union 11-4 in the third and 19-5 in the fourth to take the win.
Gracyn Tillman led Union with eight points while Rymia Craft had six points and Destiny Campbell added five points.
Sebastopol boys 38, Union 28
The Bobcats built an early lead and ended Union’s season with a 10-point loss on Tuesday.
Sebastopol outscored Union 13-7 in the first and 10-7 in the second and led 23-14 at the half. Union took the third period 7-4 while Sebastopol outscored the Yellowjackets 11-7 in the fourth to take the win.
Mason Tucker led Union with 13 points while Aiden Davis had seven points.
