David and Patsy Griffin, along with their dedicated employees past and present, were recognized for their unwavering service to the town. David, who grew up in the grocery business, recalled carrying groceries for elderly customers and learning from his father about the importance of kindness and service. “I didn’t realize it at the time,” David reflected. “But he wasn’t just teaching me about the grocery business. He was teaching me about life—about how to love and serve people.”
Family and friends played a major role in organizing the celebration, and David expressed his deep gratitude for their efforts. He was visibly moved as he recognized those who had supported him and his family throughout the years, thanking his wife Patsy for her love and dedication in making the event possible.
