Newton County Academy honored former headmaster and baseball coach Bryan Burt on Saturday.
NCA officially named the school’s baseball field after Burt, who has coached the Generals on several different occasions and continues to help as a volunteer assistant.
“Coach Burt has made a huge impact on our campus, servicing in some capacity since 1980 as a teacher, head coach, assistant coach, headmaster, parent or grandparent,” NCA headmaster Stevie Nelson said. “His contributions and impact have been and still continue to be a tremendous asset to our NCA family. NCA is forever grateful for his love, dedication, sacrifices and contributions to Newton County Academy."
