The Greater Decatur Chamber of Commerce welcomed a new addition to the town’s food scene with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Broad Street Treats on Saturday, Sept. 14, marking the official grand opening of the new eatery.
“Since our soft opening, we’ve been busy. Our ice cream sells out every other day,” said owner Marissa Bickford, who expressed her excitement over the community’s positive response.
Broad Street Treats, located at 138 West Broad Street, offers a variety of menu items, from sweet treats like ice cream nachos and banana splits to savory options such as chicken nuggets, pizza, and both fried and grilled chicken sandwiches. In addition to these, the restaurant serves daily lunch specials, including chicken spaghetti and hamburger steaks with gravy and onions.
“Our hours are 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday,” Bickford added, inviting residents and visitors alike to come and enjoy the diverse menu offerings.
With its opening, Broad Street Treats adds to the growing number of dining options in Decatur, providing a family-friendly spot for locals to enjoy a meal or a sweet treat.
