Early on July 28, 2024, the Neshoba County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call reporting gunfire outside Da Spot Club, located at 10500 Road 410, between the Linwood and Dixon communities. The incident occurred shortly after 2:00 a.m., resulting in the death of a 57-year-old African American woman.
The victim was struck by a bullet that penetrated the club's exterior and an interior wall, hitting her as she exited the ladies' restroom at the back of the building. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the woman had been fatally injured by the gunfire.
Investigators collected evidence at the scene, including multiple spent rounds found in the parking lot and on the adjacent roadway. Several witnesses have been interviewed as part of the ongoing investigation.
