Happy Mother's Day to my amazing Mama, Lizzie Agnes Russell! I'm so blessed to have a mother who always gave unconditional love to us five kids. She has always lived for Jesus, shown grace, and helped everyone she could. Her main goal in life is sharing the gospel of Jesus with others.
Mama has always been authentic in that she didn't hide her feelings, whether she was excited, surprised, frustrated, joyful, weary, sad, or upset. I realize now as an adult what a blessing that was, because it's extremely important to learn how to express your feelings. Mama's example of showing and telling what you feel inside is a great treasure to me! Her unconditional love no matter how she was feeling has been an example of God's abounding love and amazing grace. I love you so much, Mama!
This photo is from a special trip in October 2022 when I took her up to northeast AL for her birthday. It was the first time just the two of us had ever had a getaway like that. And I'm so glad we did!
