Swim a race, win a medal. Macklin Cheatham recently competed in the Mississippi Swimming Inc. Short Course State Championships held in Biloxi. Cheatham medaled in all 7 of his individual events as well as 2 relays in the 10&Under Boys category.
Cheatham won the 100yd Backstroke with a commanding 8 second lead. He placed second in the 50yd Freestyle, 50yd Backstroke, 50yd Butterfly, and 100yd Individual Medley. He scored Bronze in the 100yd Freestyle and the 200yd Freestyle and 200yd Medley Relays. He qualified for Sectionals in 4 events and made 3 AA times and 4 A times (USA Swimming Motivational Time Standards).
Cheatham will next compete with his team, Biloxi Elite Swim Team, at the Best of the South Meet in Atlanta, where he will face the best swimmers in the South.
Cheatham trains in Chunky with BEST swimming.
