Community Fish Fry to Raise Funds for Pastor and Wife
The friends and family of Pastor Earl Campbell and Sis. Shanta Campbell will hold a Fish Fry in the parking lot of The Local Sip on Aug. 31, from 12 p.m. – until. We will be selling whiting plates for $7 and Catfish plates for $9. We are also seeking donations of supplies, food items, or monetary contributions.
If you are able to contribute, please contact Flora Bailey at 601-562-2954 or Diannae Campbell at 601-616-0446 to discuss how you can help. We also accept donations via cash app to Shanta Campbell at $SuperMomSC. We are asking that each church make a financial contribution. We also ask for those that will be purchasing fish to please drop it off with one of us by Aug. 29. All other items that will be donated, please drop off by Aug. 30.
Pastor Earl and Sis. Campbell are facing significant financial challenges due to their health and medical conditions. As a community, we believe in coming together to support one another in times of need. The Local Sip is located at 300 Peachtree Street in Union. Homecoming and Revival at Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church
Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate their Homecoming and Annual Revival, starting with their Homecoming Service on Sunday, Sept. 1, at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served immediately after the service. Revival will take place on Monday, Sept. 2-Wednesday, Sept 4, beginning at 7 p.m. nightly. Pastor Larry Brewer will be the speaker for the 3 nights.
Women’s Day at Morning Star M.B. Church
Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church invites you celebrate our Annual Women’s Day on Sept. 1 at 10 a.m. The theme will be “Women on the Move, say ‘Yes’ to Jesus, Yield, Expect, Surrender.” The speaker will be Sis. Rhonda (Ne-Ne) Gardner. Colors will be white with rainbow colors. You are invited to come bless the Lord with us.

Psalmist Billy Johnson and God’s Creation will be celebrating their 14th Year Anniversary on Saturday, Sept. 28, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at The Azalea, located at 104 South Main Street in Newton. Attire: This is a dress down event, very casual. The Mistress of Ceremony will be Prophetess Tara Monique of Newton. Praise and worship will be by Rock Praise Team from Meridian. Special Groups that will attend are Psalmist Sharee Fox of Smith Ministry from Brandon, Deion Towner of Mime Ministry, Agape Christian Fellowship of Jackson, Minister Lakendrick Wells & The Levite’s from Pearl, New Dimension from Laurel, Renewed from Decatur, and The Appointed Angels from Newton. Come out and be blessed with a night of praise and worship. We hope to see you there!
