What a remarkable year 2023 was.
It held so much pain and sorrow, and so much joy and celebration.
My cousin died unexpectedly Dec. 30. Kerri and I were close in age and loved playing together as children. Though we did a poor job of keeping up with one another as adults, she has always had a special place in my heart.
