So, last week I told everyone what the dress up days for homecoming were, and I told everyone the meaning of homecoming. This week, I am going to let everyone know the outcome of homecoming, who the maids were, and some pictures from the dress up days. Friday night, hundreds of people packed the stadium at Union High School for homecoming. The oldest graduate of UHS in attendance graduated in 1957! The freshmen maids were Sadie Adkins and Maggie Atkinson. The sophomore maids were Posey Edmondson and Destiny Moulds. The junior maids were Gracyn Tillman and Tiara Campbell. The senior maids were Kinsley Johnson, Maggie Peebles, and Lauryn Roebuck. Lauryn was crowned the 2023 homecoming queen during halftime. The Union Yellowjackets played JZ George Friday night, and they won the district game 54-14. The all superior Pride of Union Marching Band also performed after the game, where they debuted half of their final song. They also introduced the actors for the show. The actors are Cecilia Burroughs, Samuel Alawine, Lacee Bishop, and Jackson Johnson. The Union Yellowjackets had a very successful homecoming, and this Friday, they play another district game at Sebastopol. Come out and support your jackets! Go, jackets, go!
