We all know that it is a good thing to attempt to stay healthy, but sometimes we do not know exactly how to keep our bodies healthy. I hope that I can give all of you some tips to keep your bodies healthy this fall. One tip is to make sure you eat a good, balanced diet. Make sure you eat vegetables, fruit, dairy, grain, and meat. Your body needs all of these food groups in order to function properly. Each food group has specific minerals, vitamins, and nutrients that are important for bodily function. Another tip is to consume more water and less sugar. Soft drinks put you at a higher risk for diabetes, heart attack, gout, and obesity. Increase your water intake and decrease your sugar intake. Another tip is to move your body more and sit less. Even just taking a short walk can help you build healthy habits. Another healthy habit is to get enough rest. Not getting enough rest can also increase your risk for all kinds of diseases. A healthy habit that is very difficult but very beneficial is to find a way to tame your stress. Find a way to reduce your stress that is good and works for you. A good tip to avoid catching whatever diseases are going around is to wash your hands before you deal with food and after you use the restroom. Another good tip is to check in with your doctor for check ups just to see how your overall health is. If you decide to take on the challenge of making your lifestyle healthier, make sure you do it in small steps. Do not overload yourself by trying to do or change too many things at one time. Pace yourself. It will also be easier to reach your health goals if you have someone cheering you on and helping you get through it, so ask a friend or family member to help you out. I hope these tips will be beneficial to someone!
