“The power of prayer, welcome to Pleasant Grove MB Church of Newton. Reaching the world with the power of the gospel of grace.” On Sunday, Pastor Michael Pickens’ message was “The Grace in Regeneration,” taken from Ephesians 5:9. Let me tell you, if you missed Pleasant Grove’s revival last week, you missed a treat. Pastor Flowers messages were just awesome! Monday nights message was “A Man Named Jesus,” taken from St. John 9:11, Tuesday’s message was “Wait on Him,” taken from Psalms 40:1-3 and Wednesday’s message was “Focus on the Finish,” taken from Hebrews 12:1-2. Pastor Pickens’ and the Pleasant Grove family thanks all that came out last week.
Anna McKee, Larry Fielder, Bernice Bowden, Florine Bowden and Mother Bonnie Ellis are on the Hickory sick list.
Pastor Hale and Bro. Brand hope to see one and all at the Hickory Devotion each Saturday at 9 a.m. in downtown Hickory.
Let’s all be kind to one another, make a call or send a card to a shut-in. Currently, there are lots of revivals taking place in the area. Attend the church of your choice.
We are in prayer for all the schools that have started back for the new semester. Watch out for the little ones as they travel to and fro.
Our heartfelt prayers are with the bereaved families in mourning of the passing of their loved ones.
We pray for our city, county, state, U.S. governing officials and our military, stateside and abroad.
