Free Outdoor Movie Nights at Hickory Pick’n
Hickory Pick’n invites you to come have a fun family movie night on July 12 at 8 p.m., where they will show “Lilo & Stitch” on their 25 ft. screen. They will show “The Sandlot” on July 26. Hickory Pick’n is located at 9560 Highway 503 in Hickory. For more information, called 601-678-3313.
“Seussical: The Musical” Auditions at the Roxy Theatre in Newton
Auditions for the Newton Theatre Company’s adult musical, “Seussical: The Musical”, will take place on July 14 at 2 p.m., and July 15 and 16 at 6 p.m., at the Roxy Theatre in Newton.
Auditions are open to ages 6th grade to adults, with the exception of a 4th or 5th grader to play the part of JoJo.
Auditioners are asked to be prepared to sing a showtune and to do a cold reading of the script.

The City of Newton will host a Citizens Forum on Thursday, July 18, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Historic Newton Depot. The topic of the discussion will be Public Safety: How we can work together to create a safer community.
All attendees are asked to maintain a respectful demeanor. Personal attacks, shouting, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

East Central Day at the Neshoba County Fair
Join us as we visit with fellow alumni and friends during East Central Day at the Neshoba County Fair on Tuesday, July 30, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Founders Square Pavilion. There will be special entertainment, free popsicles, and swag. Supplies are limited, first come, first served.
Sip and Stitch hosted at Union Public Library
The Union Public Library will host Sip and Stitch on the fourth Tuesday of each month between the hours of 2-5 p.m. Sip and Stitch is a casual gathering of hand crafters.
Newton State Dairy Show
Join us for the Annual Dairy Show at the Newton Showbarn on August 2. Open to the public, the show will feature cattle from across the state. Come and enjoy the cows and the kids that have worked so hard with them. The Newton Showbarn is locate at 615 Coliseum Drive in Newton.
