Addie “Pete” Maggard, 99, of Newton died Monday, June 21, 2021 at her residence in Newton. She was born Wednesday, Aug. 10, 1921 in Noxapater.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 from 10 a.m. until noon at the Newton County Funeral Home-North in Newton. Graveside services will immediately follow at Newton County Memorial Gardens. Bro. William Savell will officiate.
Newton County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ivy Mowdy and Cecil Maggard; her son, Steven Maggard; and her parents, Willie and Evelyn Lashley.
Survivors include nephews, James Lashley and Tommy Lashley; nieces, Vicki Fhee, Gina Johnson and Joan Johnson; step-daughter, Linda Catron; sister-in-law, Polly Johnson; and caretaker, Steve Willis.
Pallbearers will be Edward Brown, James Lashley, Tommy Lashley, Steven Willis, Roger Shirley and Randy Nelson.
