Union Public School District Special Board Meeting
The Union Public School District Board of Education has scheduled a special called meeting for Thursday, March 27, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the UPSD Central Office Complex. According to a notice released by Superintendent Tyler Hansford, the agenda will include discussions on financial matters, procurement, and personnel recommendations.

Spring Revival at Union Grove M. B. Church
Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Union, MS, at 106 James Street, will be having their Spring Revival beginning April 6th-10th. On Sunday, April 6th, the revival will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Gary Smith of Salem Baptist Church, Paulding, MS. The remaining services, Monday-Thursday will begin at 7:00 p.m. nightly with Reverend William McCormick of New Oak Grove Baptist Church, Pachuta, MS.
Spring Revival
The Little Rock M.B. Church will be in “Spring Revival” on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 and Thursday, April 10, 2025. The guest speaker will be Rev. Tellis J. Pond Management Workshop
The Pond Management Workshop will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, at the Coastal Plains Experiment Station, located at 51 Coastal Plains Road in Newton. The MSU Extension Newton County Office is offering a three-part series about technology for those that want to learn. The sessions will take place at the Newton County Extension Office at 65 7th Street in Decatur from 10 a.m. until noon. The session and dates are the following: Introduction to A.I.-April 15.
