Band at American Legion Post 89
The American Legion Post 89 in Decatur will host Southern Thunder, a band who says “We play what the crowd wants to hear”, on Dec. 31 from 8 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. Cost for admission is $10 per person and it will be kid friendly. The American Legion Post 89 can be found on Highway 15 in Decatur.
Newton Board of Mayor and Aldermen Meeting
The regularly scheduled Newton Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting will be Jan. 3 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting location is at the temporary city hall building, which is located next to the former Pioneer Community Hospital on Hwy. 15 in north Newton.
