There will be a New Flag Ceremony, presented by Woodmenlife Newton Chamber 624, at the Historic McElroy-Hoye House on August 17 at 9:15 a.m. Lemonade and cookies will be available.

There will be a Chicken Plate and Raffle Benefit for Blake Mulling at Turkey Creek Water Park on Aug. 27. Chicken Plates, with baked beans and potato salad, are $10 and Raffle tickets are $5 apiece.
