MS Regional Housing Authority V to host Halloween Treat Street
You are invited to Halloween Treat Street at the Mississippi Regional Housing Authority V, located at 298 Northside Drive in Newton on Thursday, Oct. 26, from 5-7 p.m. There will be Food Trucks, Treats, Games, Face Painting, and more! Tickets and armbands are available for purchase.

The Newton Municipal School District invite all scholars, teachers, staff, parents, and community to walk for a cure for cancer on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 9 a.m.
Newton County Farm Bureau Federation Membership Meeting
The Newton County Farm Bureau Federation will have its Annual Membership Meeting on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the Coastal Plain Experiment Station located at 51 Coastal Plains Road in Newton. We look forward to seeing you there!
Union CTE Fall Festival
You are invited to the Union CTE Fall Festival on Friday, Oct. 27. There will be inflatables, games, and food. Passes are $10 and includes the cost of food. Passes will be sold Oct. 16-20. Thank you for supporting CTE!
Trunk or Treat at Newton County Career and Technical Center
The Newton County Career and Technical Center invites you to Trunk or Treat on Oct. 27, from 5-8 p.m. in the parking lot of the new Career Center located at 16389 Highway 503. Entrance is $10 and includes Trunk or Treat, games, face painting, a hayride, pony rides, and a haunted bus. The FFA will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, nachos and drinks. Ed Rising will have mechanical bull riding for an extra charge: $6 for 12 and under, and $10 for 13 and above.
There will also be voting for the best trunk or treat vehicle. Come join the fun!
Halloween Sweet Station at the Historic Newton Depot
Come and join the fun at the Sweet Station, located at the Historic Newton Depot on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 3-5 p.m. There will be entertainment by LA Dance and local businesses will be handing out candy in the parking lot.
Harvest Festival at Newton County Academy
Join us at Newton County Academy for our Harvest Festival on Oct. 28, from 2-5 p.m. Admission is $1 and ticket bag are $10 and $20. We’ll have games, activities, food, and prizes! Drawing for Auction items and Draw Down Tickets at 5 p.m.
Fall Festival at the Chunky Ballfield
Come enjoy the Fall Festival at the Chunky Ballfield on Oct. 28, from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
There will be a Trunk or Treat, games, food, coffee, hot chocolate, hair tinsel, face painting.
Special guest Todd Smith will perform his magic act between 6:30-7:30 p.m. The Chunky Ballfield is located at 242 Jones Street in Chunky. See you there!

The Decatur Chamber of Commerce and East Central Community College present Treat Street on Oct. 31 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Broad Street in Decatur. Kids of all ages are invited to trick-ro-treating, games, and other Halloween fun!
Lake Softball hosts Trunk or Treat
Lake Softball invites you to Trunk or Treat on Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 6-8 p.m. at the Lake High School Softball Field. There will be a $5 entry/pay to play. There will be candy, games, prizes, food, and more!
Trick or Treat with the Union High School Cheerleaders
The Union High School Cheerleaders will host a Trick or Treat fundraiser for high school cheer on Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 5-8 p.m. at the Union Football Field. Included in the trick or treating will be Jumpy Houses, Obstacle Courses, Face Painting, Football Toss, Basketball Shootout, Dunking Booth, Corn Hole Toss, a Silent Auction, Cake Walk, a Halloween Photo Backdrop, and a food truck.
Armbands for trick or treating and unlimited activities for ages 3-12 are $10. Ages 0-2 and Adults get in free. Donations are greatly appreciated!

Newton County Soil and Water Wildlife Expo
The Newton County Soil and Water Conversation District invites you to their Wildlife Expo at the American Legion Hut on November 2. The event is free to attend!
The program will be Pond Management and the Speaker will be Russell Singleton, who is a Wildlife Biologist. The program will begin at 6:30 p.m.
A meal will be offered for $15 per plate, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The meal will consist of Fish or Chicken, Fries, Hushpuppies, Corn Fritters, Cole Slaw, dessert, and a drink.
There will also be door prizes, a silent auction and a raffle drawing.
The American Legion Hut is located at Highway 15 South in Decatur.
6th Annual Hickory Pick’N Day
Come to Hickory Pick’N Day at Hickory Pick’N on Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be over 100 indoor and outdoor vendors, political speaking, a talent show, food vendors, and a canned goods drive to donate to the Hickory Food Pantry.

Newton Parks & Recreation Basketball Registration
Deadline to register children ages 6-12 to play in Newton’s Parks and Recreation Basketball is November 14. The fee is $35 plus cost of uniform. Late fees are $5. Registration forms can be picked up and returned to Newton City Hall or mail to: Newton Parks & Recreation, PO Box 300, Newton, MS, 39345.
First-time participants registering with Newton Parks & Recreation must show proof of age. Please attach a copy of their birth certificate or school record to their registration form.
Annual Thanksgiving Meal at the Ole Union Opryhouse
