Please join the residents of the City of Newton in their efforts to keep Newton clean. All Community members are welcome to participate on Saturday, April 6, at 8 a.m. at the Newton City Hall, located at 2023 East Church Street. The Busy Hands Quilt Guild will meet April 9 at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall of United Methodist Church in Decatur. Members will continue working on Good Samaritan projects. Feel free to join us for a few hours.

2024 Loose Caboose Arts & Crafts Festival
The 2024 Loose Caboose Arts and Crafts Festival will take place on April 13 in Historic Downtown Newton. There will be Craft Vendors, Food Vendors, a carnival, the Dixon & Capetillo Magic Show, BankFirst Carshow, BankPlus 5K, Biewer Sawmils Motorcycle Show, Weir Esco Dinosaur Experience, a Kids Zone, and entertainment highlighted by headliner Todd Tilghman.
Hickory Pick’n Flea Market Craft Show, Concert, and Outdoor Movie
Hickory Pick’n Flea Market in Hickory will host a Craft Show beginning at 10 a.m. on May 18. Beginning at 5:30 that afternoon, Rydan Media and Sonshine Ministries will put on a free concert and an outdoor showing of the movie “Losing Hope: Finding Grace”.
