Annual Meeting
Southern Pine Electric’s Annual Membership Meeting will be held on November 14 from noon until 3 p.m. A variety of booths focusing on services available to our members, safety, and recognition of veterans and law enforcement officials will take center stage. The meeting will be held in the auditorium at the new headquarters located at 13491 Highway 28 in Taylorsville.

NCOC Angel Tree
The Newton Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Salvation Army to adopt Angels from Newton and Lauderdale Counties this year. Adopt an Angel by visiting the Newton Chamber of Commerce office located at the Newton Depot at 128 S. Maine Street during office hours or by calling 601-683-2201. Angel’s gifts are due by December 11 at 4 p.m.

Lighting Ceremony
Join us for our Community Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Ralphael Payne park in Downtown Newton on Tuesday, December 3 at 6:45 p.m.! It will include words from our Community Leaders, a candle lighting ceremony, a joyful Community Choir and the lighting of our Community Christmas Tree. Ralpheal Payne Park is located at the junction of Main Street and Church Street in downtown Newton. Parade Registration
Join us for Newton’s Annual Holiday Christmas Parade on Thursday, December 5 at 6 p.m. The theme for this year’s parade is “The Magic of Christmas.” We encourage groups, businesses and organizations to enter their “Magic of Christmas” floats into our judged parade.
