Parades across Newton County lit up the season with Christmas cheer this past week as communities came together to celebrate the holidays.
Decatur kicked off the festivities Friday evening at 6 p.m. with a lively downtown parade filled with bright lights, festive floats, and a strong showing of holiday spirit.
Hickory followed on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m., bringing families together for an afternoon full of music, smiles, and Christmas magic.
Union kept the celebration rolling Saturday night at 6 p.m. with a colorful parade featuring local organizations, decorated vehicles, and special holiday guests.
Newton wrapped up the countywide parade season Monday night at 6 p.m., closing out the festivities with one final celebration of Christmas spirit and community pride.
