According to a press release from Sheriff Joedy Pennington, the Newton County Sheriff's Department found illegal narcotics and arrested one person after executing a search warrant in Newton on Monday.
On 8-26-24, the Newton County Sheriff’s Department and the Newton County SRT executed a search warrant at 210 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. in Newton. After securing the scene, a search on the residence was performed and the following illegal narcotics were found: 200 grams of methamphetamine, 3 pounds of marijuana and 400 grams of K2 spice.
Kadedra Robinson was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with three counts of drug trafficking, and one count of felony child neglect for a child being present while drugs were being sold, manufactured or possessed.
Ms. Robinson is waiting on an initial appearance before a Justice Court Judge to have her bond set.
