Could UFOs and aliens have anything to do with the Bible? In 2 Thessalonians 2:10, we read, concerning the latter days, “they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie; that they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”
In wondering what the “lie,” the “delusion,” might be, many think it has to do with the belief that aliens will come, claiming they “seeded” our populations eons ago, that they only want to help us achieve a higher evolution, that the antichrist is one of them, and he is god. In fact, movies for decades have been preparing people to receive these ideas.
The “great cosmic battle,” began after the fall of Adam and Eve, after the Creator told them of their punishments. Then, as recorded in Genesis 3:15, God told the serpent, or Satan, his punishment, and gave His very first promise to save His image-bearing creations with a Saviour, “…and I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed: He shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise His heel.”
Several authors, such as Michael Heiser, Ryan Pitterson and L.A. Marzulli, write of the events of the time of Noah before the flood, when there were giants on the earth, hybrid beings, part fallen angels and part humans. They hypothesize that Satan tried to corrupt the genes of the human race so there would not be a pure seed available to be Satan’s Conqueror. When God said He would flood the earth to destroy all people who had become so wicked, many agree that it was because almost all had become hybrid descendants of the wicked fallen angels.
Before the flood, the Father found a man whose genetic line was perfect, as recorded in Genesis 6:9, “…Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations,” a word that could be translated genes. Noah, his three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and their wives were the only humans who were saved on the ark. Some believe they all had a pure bloodline, and later, after the flood, the fallen angels again took human women, resulting in more giants. However, I believe Ryan Pitterson has reliably proven, though possibly not conclusively, that Ham’s wife carried the Nephilim (or giant) gene, resulting in giants such as Goliath being born in Canaan after the flood.
This explanation should satisfy those who think it awful that God would demand the killing of all the Canaanites after the flood, let alone all the people on the earth before the flood. Instead of being heartless and capricious, our heavenly Father did what He had to do in order to save us through the only begotten Son of God, the Seed of the woman, Mary, who was of the protected lineage of Adam on down to Jesus.
Satan kept trying in this way to corrupt the pure bloodline of humankind, so that the promised Seed would not be born. Later, he prompted the Egyptian Pharaoh to order the killing of all the Hebrew baby boys, but God enabled the Jewess mother Jochebed to save her son Moses. Then after he grew up, even at the old age of eighty, he saved the entire nation of Israel.
When, in the fullness of time, the Lord Jesus was born, Satan again attempted to kill the newborn Son of God by using the jealous King Herod; however, God warned Joseph in a dream to take Mary and Jesus and flee to Egypt until Herod had died. Herod killed all the little boys, two years old and under, in the Bethlehem area, trying to kill the new King of the Jews about which he had been told.
Since then, after Satan realized that he actually lost the battle by having Christ crucified, he has continued the attack against Christians as well as Jews. If he could just kill all the Jews, which everyone knows has been attempted all over the world for two thousand years, he would thwart the fulfillment of the many biblical prophecies concerning the nation of Israel and Christ’s return. Antisemitism is rising in the world even today.
Jesus prophesied, as recorded in Matthew 24:37, “For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man,” and in Luke 17:28, “Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot…, even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.” These passages go on to list normal activities. However, the implication is that there may have been other things going on that will be replicated in these last days.
Could there be more giants born in our time, as a result of another incursion of fallen angels? Not necessarily. But some believe that hybrids are being born, created in labs, or otherwise coming into existence, that will be used by Satan during the time of the Tribulation spoken of in the Revelation Jesus left for the Church. The famous Bible teacher, Chuck Missler, was asked what he thought of reports of “alien abductions” occurring all across the world. He quickly replied, “Satan is building himself an army.”
I realize all this sounds so strange, and many could believe that this old lady has gone off the deep end, especially if your pastor has never mentioned any of this. However, our New Testament makes it clear that Satan “is the god of this age,” (2 Corinthians 4:4) “the prince of the power of the air,” (Ephesians 2:2) “the ruler of this world,” (John 12:31). He is our adversary, the tempter, the accuser of the brethren, the father of lies, the devil, and in Revelation 12:9, we are told of his final end, “And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.” Another detail is found in Revelation 20:10, “and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire…” Going back to 2 Thessalonians 2:8, we read, “And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming…”
On April 5, 2022, Live Science Newsletter published an article with the caption, UFOs left ‘radiation burns’ and ‘unaccounted for pregnancies,’ new Pentagon report claims. Satan is still actively fighting to win this cosmic war against GOD, and we are warned in scripture that we should take seriously that we also are combatants in this war, that we should arm ourselves with God’s armor. However, we do not have to fear for ourselves or of what the outcome will be. Our God is an awesome God, and He has truly “told the end from the beginning.” We win in the end!
