ECCC awaits playoffs after split with Northwest

The next stop for the East Central Community College baseball team is the region playoffs, as the Warriors split a doubleheader with the Northwest Saturday at Clark-Gay Baseball Complex in Decatur.

East Central won the opener 10-7, while Northwest grabbed the nightcap 12-6 in the final regular season games for both schools.

ECCC taps Paul Nixon as next AD

Longtime women’s collegiate basketball coach and current academic administrator Paul Nixon of Senatobia will be the next Director of Athletics at East Central Community College in Decatur.

Nixon will replace Chris Harris, the college’s Dean of Personnel Services/Athletics who retires next month after 14 years at ECCC.
