The East Central Community College Workforce Development Center will offer the following courses during the months of November and December at locations throughout the college district.
First Steps-The Process of Starting a Small Business, is a free seminar and will be held Monday, Nov. 6 at the Small Business Development Center, located at 52 Ninth St. on the college’s Decatur campus. Ronnie Westbrook, director of the SBDC, will serve as instructor.
The workshop will outline the basic steps to starting a business. Topics will include regulations such as licenses and permits, legal forms of business ownership, basic marketing concepts to help analyze the revenue potential, lending terminology, outlining a business plan and other resources to assist in starting a business.
