At the March 19 City of Newton Mayor and Board of Aldermen Meeting, Flock Safety Representative Cate Carreiro told the board that the cameras wouldn’t necessarily solve crime problems, but it would be a “force multiplier”. With the uptick in crime in the last few years, the cameras would be a huge help to the Newton Police Department.
