Donavan Eugene Banks was the recent recipient of a scholarship from Tyson Foods. Banks, a 2025 graduate of Eastern Hills High School, Fort Worth, Texas, is the son of Phyllis Banks of Fort Worth, Texas and the grandson of Bennie and Birdie Earvin of Hickory, Mississippi and late Otis Banks Jr.
During his high school career, he participated in ROTC and enjoyed playing basketball and video games during his spare time.
Banks also enjoys working on cars and plans on a majoring in Automotive Service Technology at Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, Texas. Upon completing the two-year program, he will receive an Associate of Applied Science certificate specializing in repair of Toyota/Lexus automobiles.
Thanks to the generous $3,000 scholarship per semester from Tyson Foods, his love of analyzing cars will become a career.
