Two recent graduates of Mississippi State University’s College of Education with Newton County ties have been awarded the title “Outstanding Teacher Intern” for their work as teacher interns this past semester. Mallory Malone and Erika McGee Arthur were nominated by those that they worked with for their outstanding professionalism and performance throughout the semester.
Mallory Malone is a senior secondary English education major at Mississippi State University. A native of Union, MS, she is the daughter of Joseph and Sharman Malone. She was a teacher intern at Germantown High School in Madison, MS.
Erika McGee Arthur is a senior elementary education major at Mississippi State University. A native of Philadelphia, MS, Arthur is the wife of Jace Arthur and mother to son Luke Arthur. She was a teacher intern at Union Elementary School in Union.
