Coroner's race too close to call

The Newton County Coroner's race was not decided Tuesday night after Election Day ballots and most of the absentee ballots were counted in the Republican Primary.

After those votes were counted, incumbent Rebecca Burton led a 20-vote lead over Butch Meaders. Unofficially, Burton has 1,970 votes to Meaders' 1,950 votes.
