My name is Terry W. Vance. I am announcing my candidacy for the office of Beat 3 Supervisor in Newton County. I am a Republican candidate. I live in the Lucern Community, where I have lived since birth. I graduated from Decatur High School in 1980.
I am the son of David Lee and Carolyn Vance. My dad was in the logging business which I joined after completing school. I have been married to Sonya Smith Vance for 42 years. We have two children, Leslie (Chad) Lovern and Terry Brooks (Jessica) Vance.
We have four grandchildren, Caden, Anna Jane, Cara and Payzlee. Sonya and I have been in the logging, trucking, chicken farming, race horse and beef cattle businesses for all our 42 years. Family means everything to me, as it should everyone.
Being your next Supervisor of Beat 3 in Newton County, I will assure you, I will do all that I can to be fair, impartial, honest and straight forward with all the decisions that come with the job.
