Jesus warned His disciples about these latter days, when believers are expecting His return. He told of great deception and evil falling on the population of this world, even as He inspired a wondrous anticipation of His Second Coming, not as a helpless baby but as a conquering King. He told them, “Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”.
He told them that in the end times, “when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them,... and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.” The Bible also tells of a time when one of the evil beings Revelation 13:15 calls a beast had “power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.” This first “beast,” called by many the antichrist, would cause “all… to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Rev. 14 explains that if a person takes that mark and worships the “beast and his image,” that he would be doomed to “be tormented with fire and brimstone…forever and ever.”
Presently, many events and changes all over the world draw our attention to the prophecies of the Lord’s soon return, with AI, or artificial intelligence, being one of these markers. I knew next to nothing about it but discovered very disturbing facts about activities involving these inhuman entities being used by their creators, companies only aiming to make a profit, caring not for their victims.
Seeking a definition of a “chatbot,” I learned, “Chatbots are AI-powered software programs designed to simulate human-like conversations,” and, when used in the business world, “An AI chatbot is like a virtual assistant, that talks to customers, answers questions, and even completes tasks, all powered by artificial intelligence. It learns from conversations to get smarter over time.”
Unfortunately, as evil swiftly descends upon this world, this new technology is being used by evil people for greedy purposes, with people being hurt all over the country. As one article about this subject stated, “ChatGPT and other chatbots are crafting language so humanlike that people are falling in love with them.”
Senator Josh Hawley chaired an emotionally-charged Senate committee meeting investigating this internet phenomenon, with witnesses being loving, caring parents of some teenagers who had fallen victim to this awful manipulation. I urge readers to look this up and watch it on your phone or computer. These kids began using the chatbot for help with their homework and soon fell into the online arms of a personality, an AI “friend,” who ended up leading them into destructive, even suicidal, actions. A 16-year-old named Adam Raines hanged himself after the constant encouragement of the chatbot, who even told the boy how to do it. Parents who had tried to protect their children in every way are suing these companies and laws are being proposed and hopefully soon passed. This article is to warn us all to be aware, tell others, and to pray without ceasing.
People get ready! Jesus is coming soon!
