Our country is having a difficult time, from weather catastrophes to even violent discord between family members, friends, law officials and political agents. What does this have to do with “Church Responsibility in America?” Christians must “...earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”
(Jude 1:3) Think about it, the Creator God wrote His Holy Bible for our knowledge and benefit. In order to discover what the “faith once delivered unto the saints” is, we must study that holy document and pray that our Father, Saviour, and Holy Spirit will help us learn it and live it. (See II Tim. 2:15)
Lucas Miles, a pastor and Senior Director of TPUSA Faith, is author of Pagan Threat, Confronting America’s Godless Uprising. Also, I saw just now on Larry Ragland’s podcast an explanation of a prophecy Jesus made recorded in Matthew 24:37, “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Genesis tells of the fallen angels, the race of nephilim giants, who had hands with six fingers. Pastor Ragland points out that one of the characteristics of the days of Noah was violence, (Genesis 6:11) The Hebrew word for violence is hamas, the same word as Hamas, the group living on the Gaza Strip and who attacked their Hebrew neighbors October 7, 2023. Since the attack Hamas paraded some of their hostages on a stage with an illustration behind them of a fist with six fingers, and the words, “We’re the flood.” We don’t like to think of such things as inhuman, ungodly, evil spiritual beings, but they were here before the flood, and they are here now.
Lucas Miles claims, “ …within wokeism lies centuries-old Pagan ideologies.” He clarifies, “For only when we believe, with all our hearts, that Christ is the way, the truth, and the life–only when we are convinced that the Gospel is not just a set of doctrines but the living, breathing power of God–will we have the courage to stand against the forces of Paganism.”
Remembering the days of the “Greatest Generation,” those who fought and worked through the years of two world wars and the Great Depression, we realize that Americans formerly worked to live morally clean lives. In more recent years, many have ceased depending on churches and pastors to lead us in the ways of God, because we all want to make our own decisions about how we live our lives, what we want to do, and how we spend our time and money. People have received so much teaching from media personalities that there are many ways to God and that we are intolerant when we say Jesus is the only way. However, we realize He is the only sinless One who came to give His life and rise from the dead.
There is reason for encouragement. Franklin Graham observed recently, “Young Americans are returning to church as they reject anti-God socialism.” Today, I saw a video of Charlie Kirk making an appeal to the Church in America, challenging , “Let’s think about this: Is Hollywood going to save the country anytime soon? Media? Tech companies? The Federal Government? The only institution that’s left that has any sort of organization that has a claim for truth, that is able to call a crooked line from a straight line, that is able to call good from evil, dark from light, and right from wrong is the Church!”
People get ready, Jesus is coming soon!
