Several weeks ago, I wrote how the Shroud of Turin was proven to be Jesus’s actual burial cloth. My subject last week was the ship of Noah that survived the flood circa 2450 B.C. and can be seen covered by mud on a mountain below Mt. Ararat in Turkey. It is as if God is revealing to the world all kinds of attention-getting proofs of His existence and mercy in these last days before Christ returns.
The Dead Sea Scrolls is a collection of ancient Jewish manuscripts discovered in the Qumran caves in 1947. One of the most significant parchments is the scroll of Isaiah. The Book of Isaiah in our Bibles had been much maligned by sceptics, who believed it had been written much later. Many prophecies concerning the Messiah and other events were so specific, it was hard for them to believe they were actual prophecies written about seven hundred years before Christ. Remarkably, the words of the Isaiah scroll are almost exactly the same as those of the book of Isaiah in the modern Bible, proving its authenticity.
One way God is revealing Himself to people in Bible lands, especially Muslims, is in dreams and visions, with Jesus letting the persons know that He is the true God and Messiah. This has been reported by many Christian ministries, and I have also seen testimonies online.
Additionally, Jews are being converted to Christianity all over the globe, as it seems God is removing the “veil” over their eyes that has been there for almost 2000 years. (2 Corinthians 3:13-16) One testimony I saw recently was of an American Jewish man, whose daughter had become a Christian. He was stunned, believing Jews could never become Christians. She asked him to read the Bible. He readily agreed, believing he could easily disprove the idea that Jesus was actually the genuine Messiah sent from God. The interesting thing was that he only read their prayer book, observed the Jewish holy days, but had never read the Old Testament scriptures, which are the ones pertaining to the Jews, their history, prophecies and promises.
He had what he called a “prophetic” Bible, meaning the passages pertaining to Jesus were marked, though he had not realized that. He began in the Gospel of John, where Jesus said in John 5 that Moses had written about Jesus. He realized he was ignorant concerning Moses and other pertinent people and facts, though he was a leader in his synagogue and several Jewish organizations, was “Jewish Man of the Year,” etc. He moved on to read in Acts 10 of how God revealed to Peter His will for Gentiles to become believers. It was as if Peter had said, “Jesus is for us, not for them!” Today, 2000 years later, this Jew in America was saying Jesus is for them, not for us!
He read Psalm 22, which prophesied, “They pierced my hands and my feet,” and Isaiah 53, which explained how God sent Jesus to die to take all our iniquity upon Himself. Daniel 9:26 was the clincher, as he read how the Messiah would come and be executed before General Titus, the Roman prince, son of the Emperor Vespasian, came and destroyed the Temple and the city of Jerusalem in 70 A.D. He realized Jesus was crucified before 70 A.D. Other passages prophesied that many Jews in the last days would receive Christ as their Messiah and He would give them a “New Covenant.” We are definitely in the “Last Days!”
People get ready! Jesus is coming soon!
