It is imperative to look at the subject of abortion from God’s point of view. That is easily determined, as He created all humanity before sending His Son to sacrifice Himself on the cross to save us from our sins, thereby proving how much He actually values every life that has ever lived on this earth. God hates the killing of babies, either in Old Testament centuries or during these modern “days of our lives.” The idol-worshippers of ancient times placed their babies in the fires of idolatry, killing thousands, which God called an “abomination.” Does He look more kindly today upon the horrific ways millions of unborn babies are murdered in the wombs of America?
Abby Johnson was a director of a Planned Parenthood clinic for eight years, without having seen an abortion performed. When the clinic was short-staffed one day, a doctor needed her to assist. She reported, “I witnessed a 13-week-old baby fight for his life as an abortionist moved the suction instrument around to rip the little boy out of his mother’s womb and dump him into a container where he died.” After that, she began speaking out against Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry, and a movie was made about her experience. Now she is working for the concept of “And Then There Were None,” as she and others seek to influence abortion clinic workers to leave their jobs.
Tragically, the Supreme Court decision to reverse Roe v. Wade did not end abortion. It just gave states the decision, as Abby states, “to allow this atrocity to happen within their jurisdiction.” Her letter appealing for help reveals that after the Roe decision, “20-plus states enacted laws banning or restricting abortion.” The result: 61 abortion facilities closed on the spot, but 755 stayed open to continue killing babies.
For more current information of the Roe decision and how it has not ended abortion in America, I turned to the March 2026 issue of The Stand, the American Family Association magazine. A short article revealed “Abortions increase after Roe reversal.” Since the decision in 2022, the monthly average number of abortions has steadily increased each year. “This increase, even in states that have laws restricting abortion, is due to the lax regulations of ‘mail-order abortions’ that allow the abortion pills mifepristone and misoprostol to be mailed anywhere in the country without an in-person consultation with a health care provider. The Biden administration lifted the requirement for an in-person medical visit in 2021 to increase abortion access during COVID-19 lockdowns.” A graph revealed that from 2023 and 2024, even with restrictive abortion laws, Mississippi abortion totals went from 1570-4950!
A Family Research Council letter reveals, “Some political leaders are speaking as though the Hyde Amendment, the long-standing protection that prevents taxpayer funding of abortion–is negotiable.” To continue, “Hyde is being treated not as a moral boundary, but as a bargaining chip. For nearly 50 years,” this protection has affirmed, “no American should be forced to pay for the destruction of innocent human life against their biblical faith or moral conscience…A majority of Americans still oppose being forced to fund abortion with their tax dollars. And even many who identify as ‘pro-choice’ support basic safety standards for abortion drugs.”
“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.” – Psalm 127:3
I just have room to pass on the information that Mississippi has a Primary Election date of March 10. Please take advantage of your right to vote.
