During these nine weeks at Newton County Middle School, eighth grade students in Joy Munn and Lora Fulton’s Science and English Language Arts classes studied and wrote about the transition to fall. While eighth grade students were studying poetry and writing poems on fall leaves in Lora Fulton’s English classes, they were also identifying traits about themselves and color coding the trait with a fall leaf in Joy Munn’s Science classes. The completed project gave students the opportunity to create a fall display on the 200 Hall from left: Roaman Bender, Jaymie Henry, DeLiya Flowers and Seth Gipson.

These students were the first to receive Positive Office Referrals at Newton County Elementary School this school year.
