With the struggles of the modern world, many people seek self care to ease stress. Keshia Thames’ business The Transformation Spa helps melt away anxiety and ensures customers leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. Keshia Thames and her husband David Thames have five children and four grandchildren. The Thames’ reside in Newton Mississippi, where Keshia grew up. Keshia also works as a full time minister. In her spa business, Keshia offers many different types of relaxation. Different massages, manicures, pedicures, and foot detox are just a few ways you can relax at The Transformation Spa. Keshia goes the extra mile to make sure everyone who walks through her doors leaves feeling better than when they walked in.
Before opening her business, Keshia held jobs ranging from a customer service representative to making her own bath soaps and lotions. In fact, she used to own a business where she sold such products. Keshia has always loved self care and helping people. Kallie and I asked Keshia to explain why she began her business. Keshia says, “I’ve always loved the beauty industry. In July of 2020, I was hit by a drunk driver and received a broken neck. After being down for months, I was really drawn to healing.” Keshia goes on to explain that after healing from her injury, she saw an advertisement for massage school. She called about the program, entered massage school, and graduated. When she heard about a vacant building in Union, Keshia recognized the possibilities and opened her business on July 17th, 2022. Keshia also gave a touching explanation of why she gladly works in this field. She says that people in the community appreciate having a self care destination close to home, and she benefits from helping people. Keshia adds, “I’m just grateful to be here. I am grateful that I can offer self care to the community and help people who have pain.” Not only does Keshia physically heal, but she also gives everyone attention and sympathy. She says that she has had people come in and not get a massage or a manicure. Some people just like to talk to someone who cares, and Keshia is the perfect person. She is passionate about physical and emotional healing.
Furthermore, Keshia’s business name has an interesting and heartwarming story. The name goes back to helping people. She explains that she chose the name because she wants people to leave her spa feeling transformed. She states, “Your mind and your body can be transformed just by the power of massage. I try my best each and every day to transform people. I want anyone who comes in to have a transforming experience through receiving self care.” Keshia also shares some things her clients have told her. Customers say, “I feel just like the business name. I feel transformed.” The community also appreciates the fact that Keshia willingly donates to schools or businesses. If someone comes in for a donation, she gives a gift certificate. People enjoy coming to a personal and relaxing setting. When you book with Keshia, you are the only customer at the shop. You do not have to worry about being judged. Keshia does everything she can to give back to the community and beyond.
Keshia Thames promotes self care and wellness. She tries to ensure everyone receives the best experience in her shop. Whether you need a massage or a friend, Keshia can help. She gives her all to individuals and the community. You will definitely leave Keshia feeling transformed.
