Heather Michelle Graham, age 40, and a resident of Decatur, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the UAB Hospital in Birmingham, after a long health journey of over fifteen years.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 2:00 pm until service time at Newton County Funeral Home – North. A celebration of life for Heather will begin at 4:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Bro. Mark Vincent will officiate.
Heather was born, New Year’s Day, Tuesday, January 1, 1985 at Anderson Hospital in Meridian to her parents, Randy and Wanda Ethridge. She was lifelong resident of Decatur and was a 2004 graduate of Newton County High School. She furthered her training at J.G. Alexander Nursing Center, where she enjoyed her profession as a certified nurse assistant. She was a Christian and enjoyed the fellowship of Clarke-Venable Baptist Church where she served in the nursery and in the children's Sunday School Department. Heather enjoyed cooking, her artistic abilities of art work, and had a special connection with nature and God's beautiful creation. Her faith and inner strength from her Heavenly Father were the sustaining forces during her lengthy health battle. Her family rests in the Hope that she is now healed and free from pain. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, David and Nancy Ethridge of Decatur, and Howard and Jean Ware of Newton; one aunt, Diane Prowell of Richmond, TX and her father-in-law, Thomas Graham of Decatur.
Survivors include her husband of almost eight years, Timothy Graham; one son, Marshall Graham, and his girlfriend, Macy Walker; two daughters, Madi Graham and Hazel Graham, all of Decatur; her parents, Randy and Wanda Ethridge of Decatur; one brother, Kyle Ethridge of Hattiesburg; one aunt, Vicki Hanson of Angleton, TX; three uncles, David Ethridge (Karen), and Mike Ethridge, both of Decatur and James Ware (Janice) of East Bernard, TX; her mother-in-law, Kathy Graham of Decatur; several cousins and a host of friends also survive.
Newton County Funeral Home – North, 9998 Hwy. 15 N., Newton, served the Ethridge and Graham families.
