It was another rough week for the Newton football team.
The Tigers dropped to 0-4 on the season and lost their 16th straight game as they fell 56-0 to Heidelberg.
Newton will return to action this week as they play at Enterprise.
Heidelberg had 225 yards passing and 123 rushing for 348 yards of total offense. Alrekus Graves was 10-of-13 passing for 220 yards with three TDs. Destin McCray had two catches for 116 yards with a 94-yard touchdown catch. Michael Martin had two catches for 78 yards with a 75-yard touchdown catch.
Jimare Kincaid, Jamarion Brown and Je’cariyus Hornsby each had four tackles apiece while Detraun Brown, Jamarcus William, Dmata Johnson, Marcus Hardy, Kaiden Ricks and Chrisun Leverette each had three tackles apiece. Sedrick Harris, Keilonzae Nichols, D.. Moncrief and Daryl Jones each had two tackles apiece.
