With nine new starters on defense, Lake coach Tate Hanna knew his team was in for some growing pains.

Thursday night was one of those painful nights for Hanna and the Hornets as Forest exploited a young Lake secondary and held on to take a 36-30 win.

Lake falls to 0-1 on the season and will host Bogue Chitto this week.
